U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers with the 880th Quartermaster Company prepare meals inside a mobile kitchen trailer, during Operation Bold Eagle at Fort Hunter Liggett, California, July 17, 2026. The Army MKT is a self-contained, trailer-mounted field kitchen towed by military tactical vehicles. Operated by culinary specialists (92G), it can prepare and serve up to 300 meals per shift using various types of rations. The unit features grills, ovens, boiling pots, insulated food containers, and a built-in serving line.
Bold Eagle is a premier multi-echelon training exercise providing mission command for 74 units and over 3,300 participating Soldiers. This training event includes a combat support training exercise and Global Medic, which prepares forces for large scale combat operations.
