U.S. Navy Cmdr. Carissa Moore receives the Command at Sea insignia from U.S. Navy Cmdr. Jacob Beckelhymer at the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stockdale (DDG 106) change of command ceremony on Naval Base Point Loma, July 17, 2026. During the ceremony, which was presided over by U.S. Navy Capt. Russell Caldwell, Commander, Naval Surface Force Group Southwest, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Cmdr. Jacob Beckelhymer was relieved by Cmdr. Carissa Moore as the ship’s commanding officer.
