U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Xander Morris, a native of Michigan and a Small Unmanned Aircraft System team leader with 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, operates an RQ-20 Puma with a controller on Range 220 during Operation I3C as part of Service Level Training Exercise 4-26 on Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, July 18, 2026. Operation I3C is a non-live fire event that provides a progressive training opportunity for exercise force intelligence and information entities to rehearse techniques, tactics, and procedures associated with information operations, intelligence operations, and associated equipment operation. The I3C sets conditions for information and intelligence support for Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) operations during SLTE 4-26. SLTE 4-26 is designed to be a challenging, realistic training environment that produces combat-ready forces capable of operating as an integrated MAGTF across all domains of military operations.
