260709-N-EG735-1270 ATLANTIC OCEAN - (July 9, 2026) Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) conducts a replenishment-at-sea with Henry J. Kaiser-class replenishment oiler USNS Leroy Grumman (T-AO 195). Kearsarge’s mission is to transport, support, and deploy U.S. Marine Corps forces: enabling sea, land, and air operational capability. An amphibious ready group’s unique abilities give geographic combat commanders a more flexible, agile force, for aggregated or dis-aggregated operations across the globe.
