Members of the District of Columbia National Guard teach rappelling operations to Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) cadets from schools across Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia during the JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC) Camp Glory at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, June 13-19, 2026. By sharing military skills, building confidence, and mentoring young leaders through hands-on experiences, the D.C. National Guard reinforces its commitment to leadership development, community engagement, and service beyond the mission. Opportunities like Camp Glory strengthen the connection between the Guard and the communities it serves while inspiring the next generation to lead with courage, character, and resilience.
