PAE SSP executive director, Ms. Kelly Lee, chats with Mr. Eric Wollerman from the U.S. Department of Energy's Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC) at the 27th annual Nuclear Triad Symposium in Shreveport, La., on June 18, 2026. KCNSC is a Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) site that provides support across the nuclear triad, including to PAE SSP. The symposium brings together uniformed and civilian leaders from across the military services, national security experts, defense industry leaders, and various academic partners at an event focused on the nation’s strategic deterrence capabilities. In its fifth year at Louisiana State University-Shreveport, the event was co-hosted by LSU-S, the National Institute for Deterrence Studies, and the Building our Region’s Future organization. Shreveport is adjacent to Barksdale Air Force Base, the home of Air Force Global Strike Command, the command responsible for the land and air-based legs of the nuclear triad.
