    1st Special Forces Group (Airborne)

    A U.S. Soldier assigned to 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) secures his chin strap while preparing for inspection during 'Camouflage and Visual Signaling Techniques' patrol lane conducted as part of the Expert Soldier Badge (ESB) assessment at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, June 26, 2026. The ESB assessment validates Soldiers' proficiency in individual warrior tasks and battle drills through physically and mentally demanding evaluations designed to enhance lethality, readiness and mastery of fundamental Soldier skills.
