An Amarah citizen reaches out for a Halal meal distributed by Iraqi army soldiers, June 22. The IA-led humanitarian assistance mission was a huge success, said Col. Ali Ayid, 10th IA Division civil affairs officer. IA soldiers handed out 8,316 meals to 12 different neighborhoods in Amarah. "We had a large turnout and all of the citizens looked extremely grateful for assistance," said Ayid.
