U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 122nd Engineer Battalion, 117th Engineer Brigade, South Carolina Army National Guard, and civilian employees with the South Carolina Military Department reposition historic military equipment outside the South Carolina Military Museum in Columbia, South Carolina, June 23, 2026. The equipment was temporarily removed in March 2025 and returned as part of preparations for the museum’s outdoor renovation project. The nine-month, $875,000 renovation includes new landscaping, hardscaping, an outdoor pavilion, classroom space and updated signage designed to enhance the visitor experience.
