Fort Hunter Liggett celebrated the U.S. Army’s 251st Birthday with a Lunch and Learn event, bringing Soldiers, families and community members together in honor of 251 years of service.
During the celebration, Command Sgt. Maj. David J. Fimbres invited the youngest and oldest Soldiers in attendance to take part in the ceremonial cake cutting — a time-honored Army tradition that connects generations of service and honors the legacy of America’s Army.
