ATLANTIC OCEAN (June 11, 2026) U.S. Navy Midshipman First Class Mackenzie Pierce from Old Dominion University participates in gun shoot during her summer cruise aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Paul Ignatius (DDG 117), June 11, 2026. Second-class and first-class midshipmen from the U.S. Naval Academy and Naval Reserves Officer Training Corps have the opportunity to spend a month aboard a U.S. Navy warship for their annual summer training.
