260611-N-JB216-3573 Jacksonville, Fla. (June 12, 2026) The annual Science, Service, Medicine, and Mentoring (S2M2) program at Naval Hospital Jacksonville concluded another impactful week! From June 8-12, students from Darnell-Cookman School of the Medical Arts explored a variety of medical departments, gaining firsthand experience through hands-on activities, demonstrations, and mentorship from healthcare professionals. As part of their hands-on experience, students participated in orthopedic bone stations, where they learned the fundamentals of applying pins and external fixation devices, as well as practicing surgical incision techniques.
