A member of the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union coordinates operations from the headquarters of the LRU’s Commando School validation exercise in Vilnius, Lithuania, June 13, 2026. The school was conducted over a period of two months with LRU members receiving training from U.S. Army instructors, building up to the validation exercise to evaluate the skills and techniques they learned throughout the course. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO allies.
