Members of the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union coordinate operations during the LRU’s Commando School validation exercise in Vilnius, Lithuania, June 13, 2026. The exercise, led by U.S. Army Soldiers from the 1st Cavalry Division, consisted of approximately 500 LRU members from 27 different companies executing a total of 135 platoon-level missions across Lithuania. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO allies.
