    Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton

    Capt. Virginia Damin, director of Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton and commanding officer of Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Camp Pendleton, greats Rear Adm. Guido Valdes, the medical officer of the Marine Corps, and Master Chief Petty Officer Alfredo Medina, senior enlisted advisor to the medical officer of the Marine Corps, as they arrive at the NHCP VIP entrance on June 16, 2026. Valdes and Medina visited to meet with senior leaders of the hospital and discuss medical care and support to Marine Corps units in southern California and Arizona. Valdes’ previous job was commander of Naval Medical Forces Pacific and director of the Defense Health Network Pacific Rim, the higher headquarters of NHCP and NMRTC Camp Pendleton respectively.
