HONOLULU – Navy and Air Force personnel along with their family members pick up trash during a beach cleanup at Sand Island State Recreation Area, June 13, 2026. The 20 volunteers joined 808 Cleanups to collect 114 pounds of trash and debris from the shoreline at Sand Island State Recreation Area, one of Oahu’s largest urban parks. The cleanup was part of Laulima Navy, a campaign to highlight community service performed by Navy personnel in Hawaii.
