    A police officer with the Pentagon Force Protection Agency pays respect to Arlington County Police Department Cpl. Barry Foust, as the funeral procession passes by the Pentagon, June 2, 2026. Foust passed away May 22, 2026, from cancer related to recovery efforts following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. He was one of the first to respond to the Pentagon after the attack and was credited with first reporting incident information over the radio, beginning Arlington County’s response to the Pentagon.
