A student from the University of Texas at Austin's Clements Center for National Security climbs out of an M1 Abrams main battle tank after a hands-on tour of the vehicle at Pabradė Training Area, Lithuania, June 6, 2026. The Clements Center group visited Pabradė as part of "Summer Beyond Borders: Baltic Perspectives," a two-week study program examining the history, geopolitics, and security challenges of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO Allies. V Corps is operationalizing and expanding the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative with Allies, rapidly integrating emerging technologies into training and tactical plans. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
