Mays, The Adjutant General of New Jersey and Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Military Affairs during 25th anniversary ceremony commemorating the bilateral agreement between New Jersey and the Republic of Albania fostered by the State Partnership Program at the National Guard Armory in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, June 10, 2026. The New Jersey National Guard’s partnership with the Republic of Albania, traces its roots back to 1995 and officially became part of the National Guard State Partnership Program, Jan. 17, 2001, making it one of the oldest SPP relationships in the nation. The State Partnership Program is administered by the National Guard Bureau, which links a state's National Guard with the armed forces of a partner country in order to build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with U.S. partners around the world.
