SAN ANTONIO (June 10, 2026) U.S. Army Spc. Tyler Houchin, of Vine Grove, Ky., assigned to Naval Medical Research Unit (NAMRU) San Antonio, served as a rifle bearer for Public Health Command-West’s Color Guard during a U.S. Army 151st Birthday Celebration at USAA Headquarters. The theme of this year’s Army Birthday is “This We’ll Defend,” which underscores the Army’s foundational purpose and timeless ethos—to fight and win the nation's wars while emphasizing continuous modernization and technological innovation within the force.
