Iowa National Guard Soldiers assigned to the 109th Multifunctional Medical Battalion, 67th Troop Command, roll a mannequin onto a standard litter, and prepare to transport notional casualties in M997A3 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle ambulances for further treatment as part of a training exercise for Hawkeye River Run at Camp Dodge, Johnston, Iowa, June 8, 2026. Soldiers in the 109th MMB were spread throughout Iowa an worked together with distances as far as 120 miles away from unit elements.
