Aircrew assigned to the 100th Operations Group trained in SFO during Astral Knight 26, an integrated air and missile defense exercise that allowed U.S. Air Force to ensure it is prepared to protect critical infrastructure important to both European and American interests. SFO ensures aircrew are trained on ground refueling operations, reducing the need for maintenance personnel to be at the aircraft at home station or in austere locations.
