U.S. Army National Guard officer candidates assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 218th Regional Training Institute, begin Phase 1 of their leadership training at McCrady Training Center, Eastover, South Carolina, May 30, 2026. Phase 1 of Officer Candidate School is an intensive two weeks of training that combines classroom learning, leadership development and field tactics instruction while placing candidates in simulated stressful conditions.
