Former Temple, Texas Mayor, J.W. Perry and his wife of 56 years, Ruth, were in attendance at the Temple, Texas Lions Club luncheon July 10, 2013. Club members came to hear from guest speaker Col. Mark Simerly, commander of the 4th Sustainment Brigade, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), about the Army’s recent announcements concerning Force Restructuring and Stationing decisions that are going to cause an overall 14 percent reduction in forces across the Army by 2017.
