U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Brian A. Filler, deputy commanding general for maneuver of Joint Task Force-Southern Border, addresses the Soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division Sustainment Brigade and the 1st Armored Division Sustainment Brigade to deliver keynote remarks during a transfer of authority ceremony at Fort Bliss, Texas, June 1, 2026. Filler congratulated the 10th Mountain Division Sustainment Brigade on the successful completion of its deployment in support of the task force and welcomed the 1st Armored Division Sustainment Brigade as it assumed responsibility for the sustainment mission. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
