Olanrewaju Anibaba, front right, the brigade's senior enlisted leader, assume authority of Joint Task Force-Southern Border sustainment operations along the southern border during a transfer of authority ceremony at Fort Bliss, Texas, June 1, 2026. The ceremony represented the transition of operational sustainment support securing the U.S. southern border from the 10th Mountain Division Sustainment Brigade to the 1st Armored Division Sustainment Brigade. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
