U.S. Army Maj. Macharia M. Davis, outgoing commander of Joint Force Headquarters - Headquarters Detachment (JFHQ-HHD), relinquished command to incoming commander Maj. LeTasha McFarlane, during a change of command ceremony at the D.C. Armory, on May 29, 2026. The ceremony was officiated by Brig. Gen. Craig M. Maceri, commander of the Land Component Command (LCC) for the D.C. National Guard. JFHQ-HHD provides the administrative, logistical, and operational framework required to execute mission-critical tasks throughout the District. The detachment coordinates support for National Special Security Events, including Presidential Inaugurations and State Funerals, while maintaining continuous readiness for federal overseas deployments.
