A member of the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union carries a simulated casualty across open ground while a fellow LRU member provides security during close quarters battle training led by U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to Chosen Company, 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, at Pabradė Training Area, Lithuania, May 24, 2026. The LRU Commando School curriculum integrates room clearing, marksmanship and casualty care so that members of Lithuania's 20,000-strong volunteer paramilitary organization return to their home districts prepared to lead small-team operations across all 10 LRU districts.
