U.S. Soldiers assigned to 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) pay their respects during the playing of the national anthem before the inaugural Tribe Week hockey game at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, May 19, 2026. The inaugural match featured a jersey dedication, honoring Sgt. 1st Class Michael A. Cathcart, establishing a new Tribe Week tradition to preserve his legacy and build camaraderie across the formation. Cathcart was killed in action in 2014 while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan. Tribe Week is 3rd SFG(A)’s annual week of friendly competition between teams from across 3rd SFG(A) to build esprit de corps across multiple events. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Andrew Geiser)
