In recognition of Armed Forces Day, the Strides of Honor 5K race was held at Joint Expeditionary Base Little-Creek Fort Story in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on May 16, 2026. Hosted by the NEX and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, over 600 participants crossed the finish line. Runners received an event t-shirt and finisher's medal and enjoyed a post-race cookout. The Navy Exchange Service Command enables warfighter readiness and strengthens the Navy’s quality of life mission. Providing essential products, services, hospitality and outfitting Navy communities around the globe, NEXCOM is continuously evolving to meet the demands of today’s military operational environment.
