Robert Greenlaw of Earth's Echo Farm in Fredericksburg, Virginia, offers local, pasture-raised beef, pigs, poultry and eggs - livestock are rotated on fresh pastures where they forage, which both improves the quality of the forage for the animals and improves soil health by allowing previously grazed areas a chance to recover and regrow. Robert and his wife Gini have used a number of USDA programs to support their operation - including conservation programs to integrate rotational grazing elements into their operation and farm loans for working capital purchases.
