Soldiers assigned to Munson Army Health Center conducted training on the use of an evacuation chair during a scheduled fire drill at the facility May 13. The device is designed to assist with the safe evacuation of mobility-impaired individuals during emergencies when stairwells must be used instead of elevators. The exercise provided staff an opportunity to practice emergency evacuation procedures during active patient care operations.
