Sgt. Maj. Christopher Taylor, outgoing sergeant major, was relieved of his duties by Sgt. Maj. Daniel Haber, incoming sergeant major. The ceremony serves as the official changeover between sergeants major, honoring the outgoing sergeant major’s contributions during his tenure and allowing the oncoming sergeant major to introduce himself to the Marines now under his charge.
