Vandenberg Honor Guard members await the commencement of the annual Police Week opening ceremony at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif., May 11, 2026. The ceremony marked the beginning of National Police Week, an annual event honoring fallen law enforcement officers while recognizing the service of law enforcement and security forces Airmen. For this year’s ceremony, 30th SFS gave a special honor for U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Savali Craft, a Vandenberg defender veteran who lost her life after separating from the service.
