U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Richard A. Wholey, commander of the 263rd Army Air and Missile Defense Command (AAMDC), South Carolina National Guard, visits the 2nd Air Defense Artillery Battalion (ADA), 263rd AAMDC, during the unit’s annual training conducted at the McCrady Training Center, Eastover, South Carolina, May 5, 2026. While visiting the unit, Wholey had the opportunity to observe the Soldiers of the 2-263rd ADA performing Avenger gunnery drills, executing casualty-extraction training, delivering mission briefings, and other air defense core-task. Additionally, during the visit, Wholey and the 2-263rd ADA command team recognized meritorious Soldiers for their performance during annual training.
