Risha, an adult red shoulder hawk, stands on a rail in her cage at Possumwood Acres Wildlife Sanctuary at Hubert, N.C., May 22. Risha arrived at the sanctuary April 2009. Risha's wings were injured in a car accident. The hawk cannot fly vertically but jumps and climbs to compensate.
