The Southwestern Pond Turtle is proposed to be listed as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Vandenberg’s 30th CES environmental team provides plant and animal survey data to federal and state partners to assist in making informed listing decisions as a part of their Integrated Natural Resource Management Program, which is an integral part of Vandenberg’s environmental stewardship initiative.
