U.S. Army aviators assigned to Company C (MED), 2nd General Support Battalion (GSB), 238th Aviation Regiment, and Company A (LIFT), 1st GSB, 111th Aviation Regiment, 59th Aviation Troop Command, South Carolina National Guard, conduct aerial firefighting training with the South Carolina Forestry Commission (SCFC) at the Army Aviation Support Facility, Loc. 1, McEntire Joint National Guard Base, South Carolina, April 21, 2026. Lead by SCFC Protection Chief Darryl Jones, the training included Bambi bucket operations, aerial firefighting tactics and techniques, fire behavior, aerial fire-traffic area, and emergency fire-shelter deployment, in preparation for the practical training-phase scheduled for the following day.
