Neal Byrne, the outgoing commander of the 103d Airlift Wing, the Legion of Merit for his outstanding service to the 103d Airlift Wing during a change of command ceremony held at Bradley Air National Guard Base, East Granby, Conn., May 3, 2026. Byrne has served as the commander of the unit since 2023 and relinquished command to Col. Robert Krueger, who recently joined the unit from Westover Air Reserve Base.
