Velazquez, director of U.S. Naval Hospital (USNH) Yokosuka, presents his personal commanding officer’s coin to Steve Challinor, Steris nurse educator from Singapore, during the High-Level Disinfection and Sterilization (HLD/SPD) workshop at USNH Yokosuka, April 15. Challinor was recognized for supporting the first mainland Japan iteration of the workshop, which expanded regional access to specialized sterilization and high-level disinfection education for military and healthcare professionals serving throughout the Indo-Pacific.
