U.S. Army Soldiers and U.S. Marines, all assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border, salute the flag to render honors during the playing of the national anthem at their Air Assault training graduation ceremony at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, April 30, 2026. Over the course of 10 days, the service members completed rigorous physical training and technical instruction to earn the right to wear the coveted Air Assault badge. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
