The District of Columbia National Guard’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program holds a “Hope and Healing” candlelight vigil to raise awareness about sexual assault and educate the force on resources and support, at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, April 29, 2026. Led by Dr. Theresa Owolabi, Principal (SARC), as part of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM), the vigil reaffirms the D.C. National Guard’s commitment to fostering a culture of dignity, respect, and accountability while reinforcing ongoing efforts to prevent and respond to sexual harassment and assault.
