U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Joseph Pena, a New Jersey native and meteorological and oceanographic forecaster assigned to the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force, is recognized as an instructor for Corporals Course 1-26 at Naval Support Facility Indian Head, Maryland, March 20, 2026. Corporals Course prepares junior noncommissioned officers to assume greater responsibilities by reinforcing Marine Corps policies, traditions, warfighting principles and small-unit tactics.
