The District of Columbia Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion held a Change of Responsibility ceremony at the D.C. Armory, honoring the service of U.S. Army Master Sgt. Anthony L. Durham and welcoming Command Sgt. Maj. Anthony R. Vaughn as the battalion’s new senior enlisted leader, on April 16, 2026. The RRB SEL advises the commander on all aspects of state readiness, recruiting, retention, attrition management, training, and professional development at the battalion level to ensure the end strength goals and mission of the D.C National Guard.
