Cagayan Provincial staff, together with Armed Forces of the Philippines service members and U.S. service members with Civil Military Support Element-Philippines gather, following the completion of Medical First Responder training, in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, Philippines, April 9, 2026. The training, along with a subsequent donation of medical supplies, supported by elements of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, demonstrates the enduring U.S. commitment to our oldest security treaty Ally in the Indo-Pacific region as we mark the 75th anniversary of the Mutual Defense Treaty in 2026. It will enhance disaster management capabilities and enhance self-reliance by providing essential humanitarian assistance and medical supplies to the Cagayan Provincial Disaster and Risk Reduction and Management Office.
