Brandon Sevilla, machinist operations general foreman at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, briefs National Commission on the Future of the Navy commissioners on machine shop operations during a tour on March 19, 2026. The visit provided the commissioners an opportunity to evaluate the shipyard’s modernization efforts and infrastructure requirements as part of a broader congressional mandate to assess the long-term readiness and capacity of the Navy’s industrial base. PHNSY & IMF’s mission is to keep the Navy’s fleet “Fit to Fight” by repairing, maintaining, and modernizing the Navy's fast-attack submarines and surface ships.
