U.S. Army Soldiers, a U.S. Sailor, and a U.S. Border Patrol Agent, all assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border, board a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter with 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, April 1, 2026. This operation was executed to provide logistical support to enhance border security and operational reach. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
