    USS Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) Damage Control Drill

    Damage Controlman 2nd Class Zackary Levin and Operations Specialist 2nd Class Jaylen Phillips, Sailors assigned to the USS Arleigh Burke (DDG 51), don hazmat suits in preparation for entering a contaminated space during a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBR-N) drill conducted in support of Arleigh Burke’s Mobility-Damage Control (MOB-D) certification on March 11, 2026. MOB-D is a ship certification assessment that tests the crew’s ability to combat flooding, structural damage, fire, and toxic gas. Arleigh Burke is currently underway completing her seventh Forward Deployed Naval Forces Europe Patrol in support of evaluation and recertification of over twenty mission areas in order to maintain warfighting readiness and lethality.
