Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Matthew R. Giunta, a pharmacy technician, inventories and restocks medications while conducting routine shelf checks at the U.S. Naval Hospital Guam pharmacy. Giunta’s efforts ensure adequate medication supply levels, preventing delays in patient care and supporting operational readiness across the command. Giunta is a member of USNH Guam's pharmacy team, which was recognized as the U.S. Navy Pharmacy Team of the Year for fiscal year 2025. The award was announced during a ceremony at the Joint Federal Pharmacy Seminar Nov. 1, 2025 and recognizes the team’s outstanding contributions to operational readiness, patient care, and process improvement, solidifying their role as a cornerstone of pharmaceutical support in the Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) area of responsibility.
