Four structural struts and a permanent barge are installed at the McMurdo Station wharf as part of the National Science Foundation McMurdo Station Offload Infrastructure project, March 28, 2026. Executed by U.S. Navy Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3, this milestone represents a major accomplishment in enhancing logistics and sustainment capabilities in Antarctica in support of Operation Deep Freeze.
